Welcome to RecentScam. By accessing our website, API, or submitting data, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Purpose

RecentScam is a community-driven threat intelligence platform. Our purpose is to index and identify fraudulent identifiers (phone numbers, emails, domains) to warn the public. You agree to use this site only for lawful purposes related to safety and fraud prevention.

2. User-Generated Content

When you submit a report ("Submission"), you grant RecentScam a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and distribute your specific report content (scam description, evidence, and entity identifiers) for any purpose, including public display and distribution via API.

You represent that:

  • Your report is truthful and based on actual interaction or observation.
  • You are not submitting false reports to harass, defame, or harm innocent parties.
  • You are not including personal information (PII) of private individuals who are not acting as public entities/scammers.

3. Accuracy of Data

RecentScam is an aggregator of user reports. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any specific report. While we employ moderation and algorithms to flag potential abuse, we act as a platform, not a publisher, of user-generated content. You should use your own judgment when evaluating search results.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

  • Use automated scripts to "spam" our database with false reports.
  • Attempt to scrape our site broadly (this harms performance; use our API).
  • Submit reports containing hate speech, threats, or irrelevant marketing spam.

5. Removal Requests

If you believe a report contains incorrect information or violates your rights, you may submit a removal request via our Removal Page. We review these requests manually.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". RECENTSCAM DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
